One fo the most painful lessons I ever learned in my life was that we have no control over when they cross over. Sometimes we may like to think we do but we don't. If it wouldn't have happenned as it did it would just have occurred another way. I am sure Dave just hated having to go so suddenly. Be open minded he may send you a sign to reassure you he is OK. Regardless, you know you can always trust in his love for you as he does in your love for him. Clearly Dave is a very special spirit. What a greyt "big guy." You made your decision out of love for him, and although it's difficult not to second guess, this was out of your hands. Our young grey Len is an extremely spirited and happy boy. His tail is usually in constant motion. Unfortunately, he's has been very subdued since yesterday.
