Guest FullMetalFrank Posted May 2, 2012 Share Posted May 2, 2012 (edited) She was not ours; but she had special connections to our hounds and she was a very beloved girl to her Momma, who routinely adopts seniors from our group and gives them love and happiness in their final years. Teppy and Chelsa were surrendered back to our group by their first adoptive home back in Nov. of 2008. We got Chelsa the same day our rep. picked them up; and I briefly met Teppy during the hand-off. I regretted not being able to take her, too, but it was not possible at the time. She landed right where she needed to be, though. Her new Momma cherished her and reported that she blossomed in her home and lived to be nearly 14 years old. When I adopted Jewels, there were a series of connections that made me think that she was meant to be ours. One of those connections was that Teppy was her grandma. Teppy left this world just 4 days after her former housemate, her beloved sis, my Yukon Chelsa. They are together again; and I can find comfort in knowing that Chelsa has her big sister back. I don't know how much I believe in things like this; but these girls are making it hard to deny; that there is a connection between those we love and are loved by, that transcends time, space, and even death. The real being, the spirit lives on-only the body dies. They are certainly together as they wanted to be. Bless you for providing the love and giving them that eternal gift.
