The evil cancer took the life from her a little at a time until I could no longer let her live that life. She would have been 11 in November. She came to me as a spooky, shy little girl, but passed on with a confident attitude and zest for life. She was a joy and a wonderful companion. I miss her terribly, but one day we'll connect again. It is so strange not to have a greyhound in my life after nearly 20 straight years. The house is too quiet, no food bowls banging around, no sloshed water on the floor to slip in, no wet nose in my face first thing in the morning. Good things come to those who wait! But we have our mischevious boy, Taylor, although I am analyzing his every movement as SA or loneliness. Anyway, after loosing 3 greys now, the only thing I can say is don't close your heart. Remember the smiles, the laughter, the cuddles, the kisses and when you are ready-pls adopt another grey. As far as I know the adoptable greys or at risk greys out number the racing greys.
