Anne Posted May 15, 2011 Share Posted May 15, 2011 Magick unexpectedly died in a matter of 30 minutes this morning. I don't know if he had another seizure or what happened, he was a little panty and wobbly on his feet and then just laid down and died. He was only 12 years old. He's been with me since he was 12 weeks old. He was the one who slept with me on the bed, he was my boy. I'm not sure how to do this. I'm sobbing and there's not black nose nudging me to tell me it's ok. I am glad for him that it was very quick and he did not appear to suffer at all, just went to sleep with his head on his paw. I've had Magick since he was just a baby, and he's been by my side through thick and thin. Through taking care of my parents, the move 2000 miles to Arizona, through the loss of 4 of my greyhounds, through it all. I got here to Arizona with 7 dogs, I now have 2 greyhounds. My home is getting empty. Oh my boo, Mr. Boo, my woodle poodle, whatever shall I do without you by my side. My heart is, once again, broken. Somehow with all of your losses, I am feeling that this one will be the most difficult. I'm sorry doesn't seem to cut it. This last week has been one of bridge birthdays and bridge anniversaries for me. I remember you helping me with my first. You talked with me all the way home. I will never forget that. I can only tell you that Magick is with some great dogs, all of yours and my Vinnie and Red Bud included. You know I was just thinking this week about Frazier and the giant duck this week, and just yesterday about Magick and that dang banana. I hope he has all the stuffed sqeaking bananas he desires, and he won't have to share any of them if he doesn't want. Bye Boo..... Godspeed sweet boy.
