FiveRoooooers Posted May 9, 2011 Share Posted May 9, 2011 A year ago Friday my mom went into a nursing home with her Alzheimer's. Two days later, a year ago today, her old kitteh came to live with me. His name was Blu II but I called him "L.B." (Little Bas***d) because he was such a tormentor, terrorizing my great dane and my sage kitteh, Sylvester. As he aged he mellowed. And became a real sweetie. He had a big head The girls at our vet clinic called him their "Avatar kitteh." Getting dressed in the morning is challenging enough, but add to that L.B. pawing at my leg "Hey, lady, pick me up!" He had his own apartment here, a spare bedroom all to hisownself with a bed in front of the heating vent, a night light, and sardines on Saturday. The past two weeks he was failing, and tonight 19 year old L.B. is at the Bridge. Godspeed you old man, you were a good kitteh. Quote Old Dogs are the Best Dogs. Thank you, campers. You took very good care of him - 19 is a ripe old age for a kitty. May every day be Sardine Saturday at the Bridge. If she doesn't realize it now, she will when she gets to heaven.....as we become aware of everything then. And, she will thank you. L.B. was a good kitteh, although he started out as a pia I am sorry to hear about your Dad but love that his nursing home has visiting dogs.
