  1. She is gone from this earth but not from your heart. So sorry.
  2. A trip to vet is in order. Also, video the episode and send to vet. Is he losing weight? Does it happen with kibble?
  3. Regiment, regiment regiment. Feed breakfast, take out for walk, return home, put radio on, give frozen kong with peanut butter or yogurt before you open door to leave. Keep doors to bedrooms, bathroom closed. Sometimes dogs don't know what to do with all that space. His safe space should be the same everyday. Humans: get dressed, pick up keys, open door, leave. In the long run a midday walker will calm everyone down. Dog looks forward to walk, humans can breathe easier. Freeze 2 kongs one for morning and one after midday walk. Good luck and keep us posted.
  4. I have to ask, is Larry vomiting or regurgitating? I had similar incidents with Plummer. I videoed the vomiting or regurgitating and sent it email to my vet. She was able to determine he was regurgitating not vomiting. My situation did not end up good, but each situation is different. I just thought I would recommend the above for your vet's treatment of the symptom. Good luck.
  5. Lou has a boo, boo, medicated and placed a large band aid on area. So, how do I remove without pulling hair and skin? thanks
  6. So, so sorry, he is at a better place, running with the best. Take care of yourself.
  7. I don't know of any, but I am sure someone on this forum can help you or get in touch with Dr. Cuoto from OSU.
  8. You can contact Dr. Couto at OSU, He is very helpful. Another thing is, if you can get a video of Quinn vomiting it can be helpful. E mail to vet. Dogs can vomit from the stomach or regurgitate before it gets to stomach. I learned this from my experience with Plummer. Plummer continued to vomit, we had x ray done of escphogos (sp?) and stomach. In Plummer's case, no obvious evidence of anything. My vet just sensed something was going on, so did I.
  9. If you have a video of your dog throwing up, show the vet. Its either from the stomach or regurgitation. That helps the vet to know. My Plummer was not vomiting from the stomach, she was regurgitating. It went on for a long while and continued to get worse. I helped him by giving him Ensure. The outcome of my situation was not good, but not everyone is the same. Good luck and let us know what is going on.
  10. Don't like the way this sounds. Has Quinn been given any stomach acid meds? In the meantime he is losing weight I would buy a supplement like liquid Ensure-vanilla- and give it to him. Did they do blood work? Call the vet again or go see another vet.
  11. I am so sorry you are experiencing 2 losses. My Plummer, my brindle, who looked like your Mercedes lost his battle of stomach issues and went to the bridge in April. Mercedes and Plummer are keeping each other company and sharing their stories. Take care.
