  19. I applied to GFNJ to be a foster mom. I filled application and requested a senior who perhaps needed to be re-homed. On vacation in Cape May and was notified that a 7 year old, Plummer, was being relinquished due to family hard times. Arrived at GFNJ to meet this boy and Plummer was so "natural". Came to us with a smile and tail wagging. He had long toe nails that were not being attended to and toenail infections. Poor baby. We loaded him up in our car along with Lou and took him home. This began a relationship that I am honored to have with Plummer. He fit right in and he and Lou got along. Lou would always kick grass in his face on walks, step on his toes, run to be fed first and Plummer took it in stride. A true gentlemen and so, so sweet. He would take food from your hand so softly, gentle. Needless to say, we failed fostering. I miss you and you have been gone only a hour or so. But you were miserable and not happy and stopped eating and could not walk with those hind legs giving in on you. I loved you enough to let you go from this world but not from my heart.
  20. My sweet, sweet, boy is running free!
  21. I have been awake since 4:00 am worried and checking on Plummer. He gets up to go potty, but very weak. He hasn't eaten since yesterday afternoon. I have tried to feed him by his bed but he has no interest. He will be 13 in June. Plummer has been regurgitating for about 1 month now. Visits to vets, x-rays of stomach, esophagus, neck reveal nothing. Lungs are clear. Vet feels underlying CA is present, but there is no tumor to confirm. I do not want invasive testing performed on my boy. He has had a significant amount of weight loss. You can see is ribs and he has back leg weakness. I had hope after visiting vet this Monday after Plummer received a B complex shot and I was given more meds. If this continues, on Friday Plummer will go to Rainbow Bridge and run again with no heavy breathing, sore paws, or tummy issues. Please give me the strength to do the best for him.
  22. Happy to report, Plummer ate 2 meals so far today, along with the High calorie supplement STAT.
