  1. If Chancey wees on my grass it immediately goes brown. The grass at the end of the road stays more or less green despite one or both of mine using it - why? Then they see the cat that lives nearly opposite and I’m hanging on to two leads for dear life trying to keep two screaming banshees under control.
  2. Chancey greyhound wears a 1” house collar with address tag 24hrs a day and I use a Martingale when out walking. When I first got her and she was more than reactive to small dogs I found it easier to control her leaping 5ft into the air when I could have my hand holding the Martingale tight behind her ears. Nutmeg (whippet lurcher) wears a leather fishtail collar with address tag 24hrs a day and I use a nylon half check or fancy Martingale for walks or going visiting. All my previous whippets wore leather fishtails with tags as house collars.
  3. Mine get any of - raw pet mince (from my local butcher), tinned dog food, cooked packet dog food, leftovers from my meals, frozen raw dog foods (defrosted) or anything else that’s going, mixed in with their dried food. I like to give them a different taste to their dried food to keep it interesting for them and I haven’t had any complaints yet!
  4. Banjo is the start up Photo on my phone and Aida on the menu page. Chancey the start up on my iPad and Nutmeg on the menu page.
  5. Unless there was a risk of it being tampered with, which sounds unlikely, and the contents look OK, I would use it, I’ve had bags delivered with only small tears. I appreciate we want the best for our dogs but considering they eat cow poo, horse poo, cat poo, each other’s poo and Lord knows what else , usually with very little problem, a torn bag of kibble is pretty low on my list of concerns.
  6. OK, having now looked at other threads I find them all the same, it was the thread listings that were full page as well as this thread. Just have to get used to the new format!
  7. The WFUBCC thread is pushed over to the left half on my iPad, while this thread and others fill the screen. I have no idea why.
  8. Another option is to plant bushes inside the fence line. A. To mask the view of things to chase and B. To make it more difficult to jump over. My back garden fencing is only 3ft wire mesh but I have prickly Holly, Berberis and Pyracantha and Leylandii hedging all round. Deters unwanted people too!
  9. Just because it hasn’t jumped the fence in its current home doesn’t mean it won’t be over that like a shot if it sees something it wants to chase. A minimum of 5ft and preferably 6ft high is my choice, having seen the wounds on a greyhound bitch who tried jumping out of her kennel.
  10. Mine invariably move into my path as I am trying to get to the phone before it stops ringing.
