  1. “There’s a broken one there Mom, you cannot let that one loose on the world, should I just clean up the evidence?”
  2. Sadly Chancey will be my one and only greyhound for exactly the same reasons. However I still have Nutmeg, a whippet lurcher and would suggest that a small whippet could be a good step down for you.
  3. Your parcels have come well hooray, what fun but please do remember my warning or before Christmas is dawning a houndie may find that to wait is unkind and open before Christmas morning! 🦇
  4. Bada, Santa called to say that the Postal service may be running late as we speak. (Actually it is!). to arrive this week. 🦇
  5. I’m happy my words can raise a smile. it’s stretching my brain every once in a while! The batty one. 🦇
  6. Bada, If you can wait, then be a good girl for Christmas will come in a rush and a whirl but Santa tells me that your package must hide from houndies with noses that sniff out and guide them to goodies that tempt them to chew on a box ’cos some go for slippers (Annie Oooh M) and some chomp on socks. If tucked away safely your gift will be fine then on Christmas Day you will have a good time. The batty one 🦇
  7. I dunno, I’ll have to ask, all part of a busy elf’s task. 🦇
  8. Bada I have had some news, a parcel has been sent to youse. On Saturday it should arrive (I’m trying to keep your hopes alive) if the postal service isn’t slow, then Santa can chuckle “Ho! ho! ho!” and I can breathe a sigh of relief, eat a mince pie then brush my teeth. The batty one.🦇
  9. I’m back today with cracking news, a parcel to you has been let loose to travel through the US post. Now I can get some tea and toast. It’s being tracked across the land, arrival Saturday is planned so I will keep my fingers crossed it gets to you and won’t get lost!
  10. I’m sorry that we missed Hanukkah, I told Santa to stop playing snooker And set to work to get your gift, then he couldn’t get the sleigh to shift As the reindeer decided to go on strike, so he had to go shopping on his bike! But in the end the task was done and in the post by half past one. I’m told Saturday it should arrive if the mailman’s up and about by five. So Odin that’s the day to wait, sitting by your garden gate, Ready to give the mailman a lick then grab your parcel and scarper quick!
  11. Odin you flew back so fast I felt the draught as you passed, I’ll tell Santa what you said (are you free to pull his sled?), then send him Christmas shopping while back into bed you’re hopping.
  12. Today my socks are striped bright red, I have no time to lie a’bed, I’m running round with a long list to ensure no hounds are missed. Odin, your name has reached the top, in Delaware Santa will stop to bring you all your heart’s desire while you are snoozing by the fire. Some goodies he would like to bring to make you want to dance and sing. Do you like toys, do you like treats, do you like booties for your feets? But no, you are a greyhound bold who faces up to winter cold, or better, stays tucked up inside and watches others slip and slide, booties are not the things for you so tell me what you think would do. Your Mum, Irene, can tell the time and at making coats looks pretty fine, can you tell me what else she likes, like eating sweets or riding bikes.? Does she collect things willy-nilly or go for something soft and frilly? Odin, please help me if you can so Santa can shop with a plan.
  13. You sound a real sweetie, now I’ll send Santa a Tweet y to tell him your wishes then I’ll go and wash the dishes.
  14. Bada your’e a Jindo dog, from Korea you’ve had a slog to get to the good ol’ USA but now you can relax and play. Christmas will be very new with lots of things to learn and do so Santa wants to be quite sure you have a gift that you’ll adore. A girl like you might like a collar if fashion you would wish to ‘foller’, your double coat might need a brush, or tasty treats your teeth can crush? Please Bada, help me if you can with ideas to help the Santa man. Miss. Mary Pat deserves a gift and I need to hear from you real swift about the things she loves and hates, then you and I can be good mates. So Bada do your best for me while I go and drink a cup of tea. The batty one.🦇
  15. Thank you Carmen, you’re a good girl, now my life will be a whirl of polishing up Santa’s sleigh ready to fly on Christmas Day.
  16. I’m wearing stripey socks of green, the smartest socks you’ve ever seen, with jingle bells around the top, as Santa’s elf I never stop, so Carmen tell me what I need and at my job I can succeed. I’m sure treats are top of your list (although your nose likes to be kissed), are there some things that you can’t eat, like turkey necks or chicken feet? Do you like to play with toys or do you leave them for the boys? Maybe hats or scarves suit you? Help me Carmen, tell me do so I can try my best for you. As for your Mum, is she a foodie? Without sweets does she get moody? Or does she have a savoury taste, answer me now, quick, quick, with haste for local shopping we must go before the roads are blocked with snow. Or tell me if there’s something else, that she collects upon a shelf? There’s lots of things I could suggest, please let me know what she likes best, then, Carmen dear, my work is done and I can go and have some fun!
  17. I am here, ready and waiting, PM me and I’ll be creating A request to a hound that you need to reach, I promise I won’t spend my time at the beach! The batty one.🦇
  18. Oh rats! I cannot see the photos and he sounds lovely. In UK a lurcher can be any sighthound cross. Nutmeg is a whippet lurcher - looks mostly whippet but not quite right. Not sure what her parentage would be.
  19. Just got back to this. I’ll willingly be an elf because I’m happy to participate and make it happen but living in UK makes it too expensive to send things. Once you are organised let me know my clients or get them to contact me. The batty one.🦇
  20. Atta gurl Sweep, Kkep upp the gud wurk! Wagz frum Chancey and Nutmeg.
  21. Chancey loves Leylandii hedges. She spends time walking along the one in the back garden and will do it out on a walk too. Now she is getting old and a bit wobbly I just let her go at her own pace and brush up against whatever hedges she wants. The friends we walk with all know her penchant for a hedge and we all stop and let her enjoy the moment.
  22. That’s the one! or “I’ll have 100 to1 on the one in the red jacket!”.
  23. If an elf you need Santa’s call I will heed and do my best if put to the test. The batty one.🦇
  24. Well, I have to say “What a way to go, spinning and dancing and delighted to see you”! Whilst a dreadful shock for you, you know that in her last moments she was happy, loving you and knowing that you loved her. Frankly I could think of worse scenarios. You and many others have many happy memories of Rosie, keep them in your heart. Carol.
