  1. My Lila does! And we live in the frozen tundra. She does have problems if her feet get too cold from snow between her toes or having to walk on icy packed snow, but as long as she’s wearing her shoes she’ll stay out in even single digit temperatures for longer that I like, sniffing around like it’s a summer day. I put a coat on her, but I think that’s more for me than her. I am always yelling, “get in here, it’s too cold!” She’s 12.5 years old and I don’t let her stay out there long, even if that means I have to go get her. She’s got thick plushy fur and has always run warm. She gets too hot in her bed and has to go sprawl out on the floor. She has little tolerance for the heat, 70 is her max for comfort.
  2. I love the one of them all gathered around you.
  3. Congratulations to all of you! He's just lovely!
  4. Yay Andy! You're an inspiration for Lila (12.5).
  5. Logan, you're a genius! It's funny that he doesn't pick the balls up with his mouth. But Lila wouldn't even touch something like that.
  6. The dreaded frozen foot! It’s horrible to see them holding their feet up and unable to walk. See this prior thread for my bootie suggestion. http://forum.greytalk.com/index.php/topic/324089-boots-for-cold-weather/ But that’s not going to help you today. I’d suggest any kind of sock or covering you can get on her feet to protect them. Baby or toddler socks work pretty well. You could use vet wrap to hold something up that doesn’t fit as well. With Lila, anything that prevents her toes from touching the snow/ice and keeps the snow out from between her toes seems to work. Jamie, getting Lila suited up to go out is work. I can’t imagine getting shoes on 3 dogs.
  7. I had this same issue this summer when Lila finally destroyed the cover to her beloved Victoria Peak bed. I could find no way to contact them, they seem to be well and truly out of business. I ordered a memory foam bed from here https://www.dogbed4less.com/products/replacement-external-cover-7-sizes-in-5-colors which Lila would not have anything to do with. But I was able to stuff the innards of the Victoria Peak bed into the denim cover. It is not as sturdy as Victoria Peak's but it worked. I topped it up with some new fluff and it was almost as good a new. Good luck!
  8. I'm so happy to see you have another houndie in your home! Congratulations to all of you! Petunia is lovely!
  9. I haven't bought anything from them in years, but this still makes me sad. It's going to be a big hit to the small northern Wisconsin town where they are located.
  10. Hmm, someone just asked about this and I'm too lazy to type it up again. See here: http://forum.greytalk.com/index.php/topic/324089-boots-for-cold-weather/
  11. Lila snacks occasionally, only in the winter though. It's not caused any problems.
  12. Her “good bed” is in the laundry. No one believes me when I say she’s both stubborn and opinionated. Now I have proof.
  13. That's awesome! What a wonderful way to imortalize your boy!
  14. I'm a big fan of Fromm. It's made right here in Wisconsin! They have so many different flavors, you should be able to find one that meets your needs. https://frommfamily.com/products/dog/?animal=dog&query=&lifestage=&breedsize=&recipetype=&attributes=&protein=&productline=&sort=4
