I have never had a tummy troubles with my Springtime products. Wonder if Olewo carrots would help, it helps calm the digestive system and helps firm up poops. -
Tell Me About Joint/mobility Supplements
lukasmom replied to schultzlc's topic in Health and Medical discussion
I too have used Springtime Natural Fresh Factors and Joint Health. My boys love them and the company is fantastic. I had an issue that they corrected immediately. I mentioned that I tell people about their products at my meet and greets and two days later I received a letter from the President of the company. He was so pleased to know I was talking to people about their products and he put a $500 credit on my account!! I was blown away. He also asked if he could put my hounds in his catalog. They were in there for about a year and I think they are on the web site. -
Keep it clean. Use Vertercyn on it. Keep it bandaged. Try to keep him from licking or bothering it.

What a lovely tribute to a most beautiful and interesting boy. He loves a full life because of you and your husband. He will live in your hearts forever. Hugs and greyhound kisses from me and my boys. -
So sorry you had to say goodbye.

What about slippery elm? Claudia from The Greyhound Gang recommends it. Also Olewo carrots. I have used it for 2 years and it really helps with soft poops. Since I free feed I give them separately in a bowl.My boys love the carrots and come running at carrot time. You can buy it from Amazon.

I am so sorry this did not work out but he will find the right home in a quieter enviroment. The right dog is out there, please don't give up on greyhounds. My boy Carter would not be a good city dog but my Luka would be fine. Hugs, Jan, Luka and Carter

I would stay away from anything those people sell. They are not good dog rescue people. I have read nothing but bad things about them and the condition of their dogs.

You were such a good Momma for your girl. She knew you loved her so much. Now she is free of a body that was failing her. Keep her memories close in your heart. You will see her again. Wound On Foot - Update, Toe Infected, Post #16
lukasmom replied to NeylasMom's topic in Health and Medical discussion
My boy just went thru this. I bandaged, used a Therapaw boot, left it uncovered and he wore a muzzle with a poop guard and a baby sock. For the sock I wrapped gauze around the top of the sock and then put vet wrap around. I think the vet wrap bothers his bare skin. The only problem with the sock is it would twist around his paw and the bottom of the sock that has traction control would and up on the top of the sock and he would slip on the floor. I have had issues with paws and locking forever. My animal communicator says he is a bit OCD. I explained to Luka that if he left his foot alone he wouldn't have to wear a muzzle and he said he didnt care. -
Now I am sad. Mary was so sweet and living to get friends. She was so beautiful. How is Fencetop doing?

Look into Olewo carrots. Buy them thru Amazon. Works wonders for soft poops. Do a search here and see how many hounds it has helped. I have used them for 2 years, made a world of difference.

Me too. I loved seeing her photos. She had a fabulous life because of you.

Thanks for doing so much work to help your boy. A dog that is that anxious is in physical pain. I hope in time he can relax and enjoy his new life.

I take the pill, cover it in spray cheese or peanut butter and they lick it off the palm of my hand.

I always space them apart. I used to give them milk thistle after the shots for liver support.

"flattening" Of The Head Of The Femur?
lukasmom replied to Magdalyn58's topic in Health and Medical discussion
I would do a consult with Dr Couto. He is such an expert on greyhounds and their health issues. I do believe hounds lose muscle mass as they age, my Luka had powerful looking back legs and thighs and now that he is 11 I can see a big loss of muscles. If he is still eating well i would just feed him more. I have started giving Luka snacks in the morning, pasta, sweet potatoes snd chicken chunks. wishing you the best with your boy.- 7 replies

I just am concerned why Luka eats grass and does not throw it up. it seems like most dogs eat it and throw up. And it is a pain when I can't get him back in the house.
