To me that's not failing him. You are also not the first to feel you've failed your pup. I've felt it more than once. Gus I know didn't feel you failed him. He loved you. We often feel we could have done more or different when we are down this road. Most of the time, we did everything possible. You were both blessed to have found each other. I think that many of us have had some of the same feelings that you are having… but in the end we all know in our hearts that we try to do all that we can for our dogs. I hate that they have to leave. Gus will be forever in your heart.
