krissn333 Posted November 7, 2012 Share Posted November 7, 2012 (edited) Is today! I can't believe a year ago today we took the plunge together. I'm so happy she's made it this far. She's been an amazing little trooper, she recovered from surgery like a champ and sailed through chemo with zero side effects. She'd been just fine until the day after I returned from a business trip in October when she suddenly became ill - fever, edema in all three legs, and just feeling cruddy. Unfortunately, she has developed lung mets and proliferative bone growth in her remaining rear leg. So far she is doing alright, we had some touch and go time for a bit, but, the right med combination has got her feeling good. Her appetite is great and she is going to be spoiled rotten for the time she's got left. I know that our time is limited now, but, I am choosing to just enjoy every day that we have with her silly little self.
