I remember deciding that I definitely wasn't going to adopt a second greyhound after looking for many months and not finding "the one." And I remember the day I volunteered at the kennel to help with turnout and fell in love the second I locked eyes with your tiny little sweet face and wiggly, waggly tail. How many adventures did we embark on with Haley in my single days? And then Daddy and his hounds came into our life and you took all the changes in stride. You had your new dad wrapped around your paw in a heartbeat. As the pack grew, you didn't care. Your eyesight faded to black and you still explored and even zoomed. Your heart started to fail and you still plugged along as best you could. I'm so sorry I wasn't there to say goodbye. I'm so sorry for the way things ended. I failed you. I only hope I did right by you for the years we shared together. I did my best and I always loved you with my whole heart. You are a special soul and brave heart. You made our lives better for having been a part of it. Godspeed, our sweet Hanna.There are no words for our grief. There are not enough words for how much we love you.
