Ivy was my first broodie and was just the greatest dog ever. She was sassy, she was sweet, she roached like a champ and could shake the floor with her chattering teef. We were given some time to hang out with her before the vet came in, and they brought in a bed for her so she could get comfortable. She plopped down and we sat next to her to give her some love, and as usual, she started to chatter her teeth. It was very sweet. After a few minutes of petting, my DH told her "Now, you tell me when you're ready to go, OK?" and a second later, she stopped chattering and put her head down. This was not usual for her, since she'd chatter for as long as she was getting attention, though today was anything but 'usual'. Now, I'm not usually one to try to read much into things, and maybe it was a coincidence and nothing more, but in the moment it seemed to be a rather remarkable thing.
