  1. Another vote for Springtime products, although, like Rocket, the advanced formula didn’t agree with Conner.
  2. One 100 mg capsule of Gabapentin once a day is not nearly enough! I am not familiar with Galliprant, but Conner gets two 100 mg Gabapentin twice a day, and he doesn’t even have cancer. I think you need to talk to your vet again, it sounds like Dawson isn’t ready to go yet.
  3. I think if you just relax she will adapt to whatever schedule works for you. Too bad that the city requires the harness!
  4. You don't have to keep such a strict interval between feedings. Feed her in the morning when it is convenient and again in the evening, when convenient for you. Mine eat anywhere between 6:30 and 8 in the morning, depending on the time of year, and between 5 and 6:30 in the evenings. Also, they go out right after dinner, and then don't go out again until they get up the next morning, usually about 12 hrs, their choice. Unless she is waking you up to go out in the middle of the night, I would take her out after dinner, then not worry about it until the next morning.
  5. I have found acupuncture to be helpful for arthritis, both in the dogs and my own. Like the laser treatments, it varies for each individual, but i certainly think it worth a try, it can’t hurt.
  6. Oh no Judy, I am so sorry So hard to lose two so close together
  7. Good to have you back Aaron, wish it was under better circumstances! Sounds like Sir Speedy is giving you quite the puzzle, I hope you can figure out what is going on. Glad you have some new directions to explore.
  8. for future reference, you can give ranitidine to dogs. the dosage is weight based, of course, but I have never used it, so you should ask your vet about that
  9. I wish the two of you could have enjoyed more time together, but I know Bosco made the most of it, as did you
  10. She sounds like lots of fun, I am so sorry for your loss
  11. I am so sorry your sweet boy’s time had come
  12. What a gorgeous boy, I am so sorry for your loss
  13. Yes, it is pretty normal I tell people my greys sleep more than my cats do, although really they are about the same, and like cats, a lot of their daytime sleep is more like dozing, a light semi-sleep. They will perk right up if a walk or a treat is offered As long as she is alert and active when she is awake, she is just doing the 45 mph couch potato thing.
  14. I think the quick will just sort of shrivel up and a new one will grow in with the new nail, but I don't have any first hand experience.
  15. What a horrible tragic accident, I can't imagine the shock! I am so sorry for your sudden loss
  16. Like Susan said, i don’t think you could get the cuff small enough, but you can buy an animal/ canine monitor, they seem to run about $50, so you’d have to figure if the cost was worth it if it’s just once or twice. I didn’t look for children’s monitors, but I know they make them, cuff would probably be small enough, but no idea of the cost. A decent human (adult) home monitor runs about $50.
  17. At 2, she still has a lot of puppy in her, so curiosity would be my guess. That said, I am constantly telling 12.5 yr old Conner (also a chow hound) “stop eating random crap off the ground!” So some dogs never get over putting things in their mouth
  18. Fletcher was another who spent his life upside down. Val is usually found on her back as well, but the rest of my greys rarely roached, so definitely an individual thing.
  19. Maybe he hears something outside, an animal, a leaf, the wind?
