sobesmom
I have no idea - but I'd assume no. Bloat is a twisting of the bowels that one would assume would prevent elimination. Yamaha_gurl
From the web: The dog may also assume the position of trying to have a bowel movement and may seem to be very actively straining with no results. In addition the stomach will be hard to the touch and very distended. Guest LindsaySF
Good luck. I hope it's nothing. I rushed Teagan to the vet a few months ago thinking he had bloat. He had been pacing, circling, unable to get comfortable, head hung low. They did x-rays and found fragments from the bone he had chewed in his stomach, but nothing else wrong. The vet thinks he just had an upset tummy and was sensitive to it. I also had a Grey once with bloat-like symptoms but after some diarrhea in the yard was fine. Hopefully your pup just has an issue like this and it's not really bloat. But you did the right thing getting him to the vet.

4My2Greys
We're back from the vet. It wasn't bloat. She found a very large mass on his spleen, possible hematoma, but considering his age and large size she said probably looking at a tumor, most likely hemangiosarcoma . I take him into my regular vet tomorrow first thing to discuss him doing a splenectomy or letting him go . I feel so numb right now. And to think I thought I could fix this with some Gas-x. Here's my sweet boy if you wouldn't mind keeping him in your thoughts.
