I was at the kennel the day he came in, with 3 other dogs and got to take the first pictures of him for the website. I fell in love with him. He was such a sweet dog. Lane and I read through all these last night...on this thread and the previous one as well. Made us tear up, I have to admit, but we're so astonished and grateful for the outpouring of sympathy and support we've gotten from your folks on GT. There is a little bit of comfort in knowing it was nothing we could have fixed, and something that was just destined to happen no matter what. Truth be told, I think he always had the tumor, at least while we had him, probably before that as well when I think back on it. There were signs. I think it was better that we never put it together, so we were able to get as emotionally invested as possible and enjoy the time we had together without knowing it was going to be cut short.
