NeylasMom
You can't have any cookies, Jen. I didn't, but I had bread. Lots and lots of bread. And champagne. And wine... Thanks again everyone. Neyla had a tougher day pain wise, but I tried not to focus on that and celebrate that we've made it this far. She's doing a bit better now that her evening dose of Deramaxx has had time to kick in and I expect she'll be much better tomorrow. The odd part was she seemed unphased by her pain tonight so she still was able to enjoy her visit with friends and her special (giant) doggie biscuit. I should have some pics tomorrow. Guest KennelMom
I meant to say this in the primal thread, but got sidetracked so I'll just say it here: Wonderful anniversary!!! Neyla is so fortunate to have you and to be so well loved. Wishing you many more happy days together! Guest azlorenz
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Update 11/15/10: Well I thought I would avoid posting about this, but I can't help myself. I am a nervous wreck. I mean a total wreck, have been since this morning. Neyla's IV pamidronate treatment is tomorrow morning. We have to be at the vet's office at 10 am for an x-ray, blood work and urinalysis and assuming everything is a go, her treatment is supposed to start at 11. I know I'm overly anxious - most dogs tolerate the treatment very well even if it doesn't work, but I can't help it. What if this damages her kidneys? What if she's too stressed and we can't do the treatment, or I put her through a day of misery for nothing? What if the x-ray shows her lesion has progressed to the point that we're risking fracture? I'm going nuts! Trying to remind myself to take deep breaths, and at least I'm about to leave work so I can go home and spend the evening with my girl (and a bottle of vodka). Anyway, if you could all spare some positive thoughts for her tomorrow I would really appreciate it. I have faith in the power of GT to help us get through this little bit after helping us through everything else so far.
