Thanks everyone.

I wanted to add a couple of pictures of Tarmac taken at our wedding reception. I've posted them before but they always make me smile.

What a beautiful tribute to your boy. I'm so sorry you didn't have more time with each other. Godspeed, Tarmac.

I'm so sorry that the greyt Tarmac had to go so soon.

That was a wonderful write up and a very fitting tribute to our hound friend.

I love the wedding pictures. That one of you and him walking away from the camera is so touching.

Godspeed Tarmac. Know you are loved by your family and will be missed by all who had the pleasure of meeting you.

I am so sorry! My deepest sympathy. :f_red By the way-that was not an "attempt" to get a picture of Tarmac and you. Look at the eyes of both of you! Don't you see the connection? I can actually see a cord or bridge or something- its there. That is a very special picture!

Please don't have any negative feelings about when he crossed over. You were there and he was enveloped in your love and you helped him cross over as no one else could have. He knows that and is grateful.

Regarding-

".....His little bat head will no longer be staring out at me from the back window when I come up the driveway. There will be no more games of fetch in the big fenced field, no more opportunities to see the look of sheer joy on his face when he runs. He will no longer be hovering by the counter when I chop veggies for dinner, staring at the growing pile and silently urging it to fall to the floor. We won’t hear the staccato of his nails on the side of our bed at night while he dreams. I won’t discover toys he stashed in my tote bag when I get to work in the morning. ..."

please try to be open minded as you can. He may send you a sign to comfort you. When he does it will be unmistakeable because it will probably be something like the above. Don't try to understand how. Just enjoy it.

You two will ALWAYS be a part of each other. I just wanted to share my experience, strength, and hope with you and send you a hug! :grouphug

Godspeed Tarmac! You triumphed over the "perbert dokker"--nobody messed with your leg.

I remember the drinking-from-the-beer bucket shot--quite marvelous--and the Crocs on the bridesmaid are a hoot. Send your family a sign, sweetie.

I'm so sorry :( .

He was so obviously cherished in life and is at peace now.

I hope you find some peace too.

RIP Tarmac.

It's tough to be there at the end, and he might have been afraid, but I am sure your presence was a comfort to him. He was with his people and right where he wanted to be.
