iluvgreys
So glad to hear that Miss Kylie is better! FWIW, in my limited experience with e-vets, they manage to charge at least $800 for a night of supportive therapy. If diagnostic tests are done (eg., sonogram, more x-rays, etc.) it's MUCH more expensive and a diagnosis still may not be reached. Guest greytful4
So she doesn't have GME?! Well, I'm just happy she's feeling better. Dr.Chiapella , who is the veterinary specialist, said her symptoms were not consistent to GME. She flipped out (professionally, of course) when I told her the fourth vet, who I didn't even meet or speak with said she has GME. Like I said, they had her on supportive therapy, tore her front arms up and charged me almost $800.00. Dr. Chiapella, says without further diagnostic testing with a neurologist her best guess at this point would be cancer somewhere in the brain, brain stem area.I'm waiting to hear back from her about the pred dosage..does that stay high or do I taper off. Kylie is a little more stumbley this morning and her head is starting to go off to the side again. She did eat and we went for a short walk.I'm just taking things one day at a time. I won't put her through anymore testing, with the exception of blood work.

Guest Energy11
Anne, I am SOOOO SORRY you are going through all of this! Sound VERY familiar here, with what I am going through with Curfew. HE is not nearly as sick as your little girl, but he is on tons of meds, and his NIGHTS are horrible! He just whines and barks, and is very restless.Yes, it VERY WELL COULD BE a brain or brain-stem tumor. THAT is what we are looking at with Cufew, but he does not have the head-tilt, "stumbly walk," ... etc. For HIM, it was, what was diagnosed as a "stroke" back in Sept. of '08,... then, fine for about four months, then, started with what I think were small seizures. HIS major change is personality ... whining, barking, confusion, etc. But, like you, without an MRI, and neorological testing, we are not sure! I guess, the BEST thing is, to take both of ours, day by day! Hugs, prayers and love from Curfew and I! Dee
