Caesar's Getting His Amputation Tomorrow

Wish us luck. Caesar's osteo is fortunately isolated to his leg, no metastasis, YEA!!! So, we're amputating tomorrow and I'm so excited about getting my playful boy back. He's been so unlike himself for a few weeks and I know the only way I'm going to get his playful and pain free side back is to get rid of that leg. The only redeeming value of my previous girl Rosie having Osteosarcoma is I now know what to expect (at least somewhat) with Caesar and I know I can have more time with him and he can be happy and pain free again. Trying to think positive here and see the up side of this horrible disease...Thanks all for being there and understanding. Pray for my boy. :gh_runner

Joy :yay

Asia had her left front removed on the 4th, she is back to normal and doing well. I thought the worst was ahead but it really was as smooth as a leg amputation can go. Thank god for pharmaceuticals! I wish Ceasar a speedy recovery and strength for you.

Greyhound angels at the bridge- Casey, Charlie, Maggie, Molly, Renie, Lucy & Teddy. Beagle angels Peanut and Charlie. And to all the 4 legged Bridge souls who have touched my heart, thank you. When a greyhound looks into you eyes it seems they touch your very soul.

Checking in to see if there is any news about Caesar. He is definitely in my prayers for an uneventful surgery, and a quick recovery. Joy, you are right, he will not have that osteo pain when the leg is gone. Which leg is it? Get some rest now, and please let us know how your boy is doing.
