Trudy
Might have to put that new degree to use. There's not much here. Jobs at the hospital require certificates I don't have or I'm not qualified to do. Some retail jobs exist, but not many Every once in a blue moon a job with the fisheries research center will open up, but you need to be an Alaskan resident for that... which I'm not yet and won't be for a while. So I'm handing over my resume for TA positions at the elementary school.
Jeff
Greetings from Puson or Buson (spelled either way) South Korea. Was a quick trip across the Pacific and into the Sea of Japan. Unfortunately unlike my last ship, internet access is almost completely useless. As an example, it took over 20 minutes to get to GT, log in, and open a post I could type in. No way to read anything. Hope you all are well. Fair winds and following seas until next time I manage to report back in… Haze gray and underway!

Good grief, so by the time you're a resident, you're practically packing up to leave again. Ah well, maybe you'll find something that doesn't require you to be a resident. The house looks fantastic! Trudy
There is pretty much no reason for me to apply for any more govt jobs here - far too many people with "points" so I just get an email saying sorry, too many other candidates that have points applied, we won't be looking at your resume. Not that I'm even remotely qualified for the one above.
Guest IrskasMom
Do You have to work outside the Home or would it be feasible to stay at Home for this 2 Years ? You might enjoy it and when you are moving again ,then seek outside work again . But I tell you in the Commisary on the Register or some other Dept. would be not to bad a work. I know , it pays no Money but maybe just 4-6 Hours a Day might just get you to see other things then 4 Walls and 2 gorgeous Doggies.
