NeylasMom
Good Lacey. You can use milk thistle to help her liver values. We did that when Dylan was going thought chemo last year. ask them about milk thistle, vitamin E and Sam E. all are considered to be awesome liver detoxifiers. Misty is on all three and the addition of oatmeal to her diet brought all the liver values back to completely normal. You can also get milk thistle from omahavaccines.com - it's called Marin on the site. I get my sam-e at Costco, Naturemade brand. Keep kicking that cancer's a$$ Lacey! grey14me
you can also get milk thistle at Trader Joe's if there's one by you. I would give all supplements on a full stomach to avoid any upset. I'm not sure about the others Patti, but the milk thistle won't affect the pancreatitis...I used to give it to Bailey and it was never an issue. rycezmom
Don't be nervous Patti. Let us be nervous for you. Thats our job. Thinking of you all and sending Miss Lacey many many hound hugs. BTW Bo was put on milk thistle when she went into liver failure. The transplant docs decided what her dosage should be and consulted on her case. A lot of my daughters pre-liver transplant patients are on it also. L.
