Glad you survived uninjured. I was carry a small garbage can and holding the leash after walking Odin and a storm was coming. It was very windy and I was afraid the trash can would blow away. The side door to the garage, slammed into the back of my ankles and I tipped over tripping over Odin inside the garage. I didn't want to fall on him, so I dropped the leash, the garbage can (which is my outside can for bags of after-walk poop placement), and hit the floor. I tore my rotator cuff.

I am so sad and sorry to read this.

It is almost two years since Shine left. I miss all the dogs who have gone to the bridge. Some deaths were harder to take than others.

Our's were very comfortable in our trailer. It was crowded as we had three dogs most of the time. They really loved the traveling part and meeting lots of new people and dogs. They literally stopped traffic wherever we went. We were a bigger attraction at Niagara Falls than the falls. Just kidding.

I also know it is sort of strange option to consider, but we did use a communicator with two of our greys. The results were successful. I don't understand it, or how it works, but sometimes it does. Just use a communicator that has a good reputation or lots of positves.

We have to miss this year, again. Last year, Len had surgery, this year, I am scheduled for surgery. Have a great time!

I have found that our dogs, as well as a lot of other's, sleep better when they are wearing pj's or a house coat. My boy waits each night for me to place his house coat on him before crating. I make flannel and light fleece house coats. zoom doggies at www.houndtime.com. Or if you want the pj's with legs, search out on etsy. I have seen purchases posted on lists where greyhound owners have bought on etsy sights. Good luck.

I put two tablespoons of carrots into a container with a cup and 1/4 of water. I microwave for one and 1/2 minutes and it gets to be like a pudding. I don't know how it could be flaky as the carrots are pellets.
