  1. How did you come up with daily feeding amount? The green bag label shows a 50 pound dog feeding guideline of 2-1/4 to 2-3/4 cups a day.
  2. This. 3 cups of one type of food could equal 5 cups of another type of food.
  3. I have Embrace with both dogs, each with a $300.00 annual deductible, 80% coverage, and capped out at $10,000 per year. All of those figures can be "adjusted" up or down when you decide on a policy, raising or lowering your premium. Membership in the Greyhound Health Initiative, at $99.00 a year, gets you between 15-20% discount with Embrace. Taylor's osteo care, since January, topped off at his $10,000 level when he finished up treatments in July. The $10,000.00 they paid out covered 80% of all expenses. At $1.37 per day, annuals, for the premium. $500.00 a year premium. They paid out $10,000.00. Yeah. I think it's worth having insurance.
  4. Taylor was at his oncologist this afternoon for his 3 month checkup.........ALL CLEAR!!!!! Physical exam: fine Blood work: fine Chest x-rays: FINE (confirmed by radiologist). It's been 3 months since his last chest x-rays, 6 months since amputation, 9 months after diagnosis with Osteo, He had 4 rounds of Carboplatin (N/C from Ohio State Univ). Next checkup in 3 months. He's a happy boy. Demands and loves rides and then walks, along with Face, 2-3 times a day. He always got lots of attention/hugs/kisses on his head for the past 4 years, and now, EVEN more attention. He loves that. He runs just as fast on 3 legs as on 4 legs. He roars all around the back yard, leaping in the air and spinning. He will be 7 in December. And he spends a LOT of time upside down

  8. On Wednesday, it will be 4 weeks since I had the tattoo done on the inside of my left forearm. I'm very pleased as to how it came out. Taylor will always be with me.

  10. It is 8 months today since Taylor's diagnosis with Osteo in his right front leg, and 5 months today since amputation. He is a happy boy. He runs and spins and hops around in the back yard as fast on 3 legs as on 4 legs. Loves and demands rides and walks 2-3 times a day and then meeting people and getting hugs and pets and COOKIES!!!. And still has the occasional bed fail.
