  1. I am so, so sorry your Macho had to leave you. What wonderful memories you made with him. You will never forget him. Ever. And, in time, those memories will make you smile...
  2. Our three are muzzled when left alone. It only takes a split second for an 'accident' to happen. They also have the thin leather Dave Engraves tag collars. We had a break-away collar once and we found it 'broke' too frequently. If you need to grab your dog quickly and hold the collar you will probably end up with the collar in your hand and the dog long gone. Ask me how I know... A microchip will not help identify your dog if he is loose on the street, unless whoever catches him takes him somewhere the chip can be 'read'. A dog who has his name/phone number on his collar will get home faster.
  3. I'd check with her vet first, but I have given a small amount of metamucil with no side effects.
  4. Nixon is super good with little ones....even at the dog park.
  5. Thanks for keeping us updated ....and how nice that Sid has a brother! You need to load your pictures into Photobucket..it's free. Then you copy the IMG code and then pasting them here.
  6. So very sorry for the loss of your beautiful Star. Remember the good times....
  7. My three would be fine in there....a section of our fence is 4' chain link and we've never had any of them try and get over it.
  8. Had good results with our aged GSD and a friends Grey.

  10. Such wonderful memories of your girl. The kitteh pictures made me
  11. Not all dogs like to play with toys. Nixon has never, ever shown any interest in any sort of toys, balls, squeakies, frisbies. Nothing. Ruby likes 'certain' squeakies, but doesn't go crazy. Nigel loves ALL squeakies...he just came to us this way. Some dogs play. Some just don't. We have had several dogs of varying breeds over the years who never liked to play.
  12. So sorry for the loss of your very handsome boy. Remember the good times...

    Boozer

I am so sorry you had to let your handsome Boozer go. Thank you for giving him a fabulous few months of being well-loved. Remember the good times....
  15. I walk all three of mine together, too. Nixon on the left & Nigel & Ruby on the right. None are spooks or high-prey. It takes practice. I used to put my arm right through all the loops and then hold the leashes farther down, but now I use a 'walking belt' and I LOVE it. I started this thread a few months ago, after much consideration chose this belt I don't put it aound my waist (I'm little and it's too big), but instead, I put one arm through and it lays on my shoulder. Our leashes have lightweight caribineers (colour co-ordinated, of course!) and they just clip to the centre ring, which is at waist level. . I LOVE it. I still hold the leashes in my hands, exactly as if the belt wasn't even there, but I don't worry that I may drop one. My three hounds combined are more than twice my weight...I would not walk then this way if they were spooks or high prey.
  16. http://www.chillydogs.ca/ Love them. And of course they're made in Canada so we can get them locally. The Voyager coats really look nice, too. Similar to the Chilly Dogs.
