  1. I am so very sorry. I have a big soft spots for "Maggie's". There seems to be a bit of magic in them. Fly fast and free, Maggie.
  2. Oh, Tricia, I am so very sorry. Even knowing that it was coming, seeing Murray's name here was a jolt. I remember meeting him at my first Grapehounds when you were my neighbor. He was such a lovely gentleman. Every year I look forward to the card from you and Burke with your wonderful photos. Godspeed, Murray.
  3. There is a lot to be said for willful little girls! Keep improving, Twiggy!
  4. Just reading all of this now. What a roller coaster. Keep getting better Miss Twiggy, we all love you!
  5. How very sad. My condolences to all who loved her.
  6. I am so very sorry. We were all hoping for better news for you both.
  7. The ongoing drops are to the good eye that is left, as far as I know but I will ask her person today and get back to you. I think it is twice a day from what I recall as it goes with her feeding schedule.
  8. "The vet told me 'some people are willing to do anything' which made me feel pretty bad, like I was giving up, but she did agree to the decision to put Harley to sleep was the best I could make for her." Please don't take this as a negative comment made to make you feel bad. Spending all the money in the world would not fix this, merely delay the inevitable. You have made the kindest, most loving choice for your girl. I will be keeping you both in my thoughts and prayers.
  9. This. She is not going to get better. Almost every one of us on here has faced this decision. It stinks beyond all possible measure and comprehension but you are her advocate. Big hugs to you both. Make lots of fabulous and silly memories with her. She is living in the moment so some steak, or chicken nuggets, or ice cream, anything out of the ordinary will make her giddy.
  10. I've only gone through this second hand with a friend's poodle. With the exception of their sending her home too early -- I think because it was a holiday weekend/I know that I hated that particular practice -- requiring multiple visits to the vet over the weekend, Ruby did really well. There are ongoing drops but the pirate poodle is a happy, happy girl and no longer has the pain of the bad eye.
  11. I am so very sorry to hear this. Cancer stinks!
  12. Beautiful girl, she trusts you! When will you have a medical update?
  13. I had no results with PlaqueOff either.
  14. I am so happy that you lovely ladies have saved this sweet girl from that awful owner! I guess she did one thing right by handing her back.
  15. What they said. These dogs are SO stoic. I understand the thought process for this is killing you emotionally, we all do. If we could fix it for any of us we would. All we can do is go through it virtually together. If you have to let her go, is there a homecare vet or a service that will come to you and do it at home so there is less stress for all involved? Needless to say, this completely sucks for you.
  16. Beautiful tribute for a beautiful boy. Godspeed, Pippin.
