  1. Tricia and Burke I'm so so sorry. Your tribute speaks of the love you had. Robin and Mike.
  2. Wow...3 months after we put Tigger to sleep, we had to put her littermate Roo to sleep. She declined very fast with Renal failure. It was time--she hid how sick she really was. She was our goofy girl, another hater of cats and come to find out fear aggressive to all dogs so she always had on a red bandana. She was aloof but later in life she came up to you to scratch her butt. She loved to rough house with daddy and even learned to snuggle with me. I taught her to speak and that was a mistake! First time in 10 years with no dogs. Thank you Greyhound Angel Adoption for allowing us to adopt a littermate. Photo credit Steve Uyehara--Roo is the left, Tigger is the right. I really miss my girls.
  3. I'm so sorry to hear about Breeze. I always loved her coloring.
  4. Like others have said the title really scared me but I'm so glad of the outcome thus far. Have a great Dewey trip. Hugs to Murray.
  5. We had to put Tigger to sleep today. It was time. She definitely let us know. This was 2 days after her 11th gotcha day and 2 months after she turned 13. She was our skittish girl, hater of cats and stalker of bunnies. She was our furry girl with the bunny soft coat. She put up with her silly sister. You knew if she loved you because she would poke you in the butt with her long needlenose. My snuggler is gone. My roo-er is gone. Thank you Greyhound Welfare for introducing us to greyhounds. Second photo credit to Steve Uyehara taken at GIG. Roo on the left, Tigger on the right.
  6. So I can't help on how quickly values drop but was curious as to what you were doing for the homemade part. We have a kidney dog too and she hates the food.
  7. PJ I'm sorry about Wiki. Hugs to the girls.
  8. I agree with treats and the more enticing the better. Our trainer had little cubes of cheese and then recommended hot dogs pieces. I microwaved them quickly with a bit of smelly garlic powder. They turned hard but the girls loved them. Try and teach the look at me when he starts showing the signs of being afraid. Also maybe try do a quick turn around go the other direction treat and turn around again and treat. Keep treating while you go by the spot and keep saying look at me. You want the focus to be off whatever is there and on you.
  9. I'm so sorry Mo and Sean and boys. Mr. Murphy was one special hounds--always ready to lean harder than any dog I've met. I love the last picture and know those two have had great snuggle time already! Robin
  10. Jen, I know how much you did for Gwen/Etta. She was a beautiful girl. Quirky is the right word. You worked so hard with her and I know the couple that adopted her loved her well. I'm so sorry to hear about her.
