  1. I moved in June with Tallulah from my stepfather's house, with a yard, to my condo which has an enclosed balcony. The move caused a certain "forgetfulness" in Tallulah's housetraining. I got tired of steam cleaning the carpets. I looked at the doggy patches and went with the DoggieLawn. At first I put it on the enclosed balcony, where T thought it was something fun to dig and play in... then I decided to put it where she kept having her accidents... et voila! We are now in our 6th pee accident free week! Maybe real grass (that you toss out instead of cleaning) will work better for your girl. For me, it was turning MY thinking around from having the lawn where I wanted it to having it where she was having the accidents. I am now moving it in 6" increments back toward the balcony but if that doesn't work, it will stay where it is unless I have guests over. I realize that real grass is an ongoing cost, and the fake grass isn't but it is far less costly than a walker -- and there is no one I trust in my neighborhood to walk her -- and saves me from being frustrated by her having an accident. (I think my stepfather was letting her out to the yard every hour so we have a bit of a learning curve to get her to go several hours!) Good luck!
  2. I am so very sorry for your loss. Those corner of the eye glances are so important. I truly believe they want you to know that they are still around. Godspeed, Graham.
  3. I used Animal's Apawthicary for Aquitaine. I used it before the Denamarin and during. Her numbers for kidney failure never got worse so I have to believe it did some good.

    Oscar

I am so very sorry. Godspeed, Oscar.
  5. My heart dropped when I saw Murray's name here. I fell in love with him at my first Grapehounds when you were our neighbors. I am so very happy for you all that the problem was found, and that a good resolution has been achieved and you have your boy back. Big, big hugs to you all.
  6. What a perfect tribute to your wonderful, well-loved boy.
  7. I am just seeing this now, I can't tell you how very sorry I am. I know you know this but you were THE VERY BEST MAMA that Henry could ever have found. Major hugs. Godspeed, sweet Henry.
  8. I am so, so, very sorry. Sending big hugs. Fly fast and free, Sneaky Pie.
  9. Both of these are great suggestions. I would trust Dr. C above all. My last girl had a (thankfully) benign tumor the size of a softball in her spleen, it was removed and I had her for almost 4 more years. I can't say it was affordable but it was more than worth it.
  10. I had to look it up as well, and did see that certain types respond to treatment. All fingers and paws crossed that this is that type. Big, big hugs and lots of good thought and prayers.
  11. So happy for Bernie and his loving family. You all went through a lot and it is good to see healing and happiness.
  12. Guarded good news still counts as good news. Fingers crossed for continued improvement!
  13. Mirage is not one of the names I expected to see here. I am so very sorry. Godspeed, Mirage.
  14. I am so very sorry. Run with the wind, Mango.
  15. I am so very sorry. Fly fast and free, Mercy.
  16. Sent my girls. I am so very sorry. Godspeed, Hook.
  17. No "my own dog" experience but I helped a friend and her poodle through one. She was released from the surgery too early (and on a holiday weekend) but other than a couple of issues that we worked through that weekend, it was a pretty straightforward experience for dog and owner. I think the Facebook group above sounds really helpful.
  18. I am so very sorry. Run free and happy, Lulu.
