I would not do this without the vets approval. That being said, Aquitaine was on 1/4 of a baby aspirin per day after being diagnosed. Invest in a pill cutter. Those little stinkers are REALLY difficult to cut into 1/4 pieces. You may end up with 2 or 3 out of many tablets.

I am going to second Animal Medical Center. They are amazing. If they can't get you in fast enough, Blue Pearl (midtown) is also amazing. I honestly can't say enough good things about them. There is a difference in the intake costs, though not the overall costs. AMC has a lower intake and BP hits you with the whole thing before starting anything. They are not just an ER, they do specialized care and surgery as well. I hope everything works out well and swiftly.

I am so very sorry. Hemangio is awful, and scary and horrible. When you feel ready, I have found that opening my heart to a new grey is the best healing. For me, it helps knowing that one more grey has found their couch (and every other piece of furniture I own) and focusing on them lets my heart begin to heal. I wish we didn't all know how you feel, but we do, and are here for you.

Please don't think you are giving up on her. You are not. Sadly, you are accepting reality and doing what is best for her. I understand the feeling completely, I truly felt that I had killed my best friend when I had to let my first girl go when she was diagnosed. With my last one, the vet said something that I found helpful, which was that even with the highest dose of pain meds, my girl would still be living with daily breakthrough throbbing pain. It didn't make it better, but saving her from further pain did help a bit. I am so sorry that you are having to go through this heartache.
