  1. I am so sorry to read this. Unfortunately, you are right, this is going to be one of the hardest things you've ever had to do. It is the right thing for you girl, and you are doing it before she is struggling and that is an extremely kind and selfless thing to do. Know that you are not alone. Many of us have gone through kidney disease and we will be holding you in our hearts, thoughts and prayers tomorrow.
  2. Ditto. When Aquitaine was attacked, the owner agreed to pay $200 of a $1,500 bill because he thought the cost was too high. Well, that was the ER cost in NYC. Thankfully, I had insurance and I just wanted to put it behind me. He was reported by both the Vet/ER and my doctor who treated me for the bite I got. He was not at all happy that his dog had been reported. Well, his dog ripped my dog's throat open, what did he expect? He is probably feeling harassed because the police are following through. He knows he is in the wrong.
  3. I am so very sorry. Godspeed, Sam.

  12. You have, above, the support of a veterinarian! Hopefully, you can find anthistamines locally. Good luck!
  13. Can you go to a local drugstore and look for cetirizine? That is generic Zyrtec.
  14. Is there a favorite meal that she has always eaten off your plate, or tried to steal? Maybe tricking her would work.
  15. We all understand that fear. Sending lots of prayers and good thoughts for Chase.
  16. Fly free Shanti, you were so very loved.
  17. This was truly a life changer for me and it honestly could not be simpler. My best friend is an ER doc and she mentioned it, then I spoke to my GP and he confirmed. Before that, I had the worst cough that I spent my whole life being told to stop smoking. A permanent employee when I was temping had me sent home, even though HR understood that it was a chronic issue and not anything that was remotely possible to pass on to someone else. No needing a nebulizer, no multiple missed work days, etc. Manuka honey is not something I would have thought of but that is a great idea!
