  1. Copied from Facebook: Connie and I became friends here on GreyTalk so long ago. When I moved home to California and got my first greyhound here, she was so instrumental and helping me and introducing me to the GreySave people. She was the most amazing advocate for our hounds. She was absolutely for human being and will be greatly missed. Some of you may remember her hounds Carl and Doodles and her search for her greyhound mix Kobe, who was lost due to fireworks. I don’t think she ever stopped looking for him. Hello friends and GreySave volunteers: I am sure many of you knew Connie Kruzan, a.k.a. Kaj Sunsands through her work in the medical garage at Greysave's homecomings, or as one of the primary people organizing searches for lost Greyhounds and Galgos, or as a trusted source on everything cancer if your dog had been diagnosed with osteosarcoma. You could have known her as one-half of Inga and Connie’s dog-sitting, or an indispensable contact who successfully got the Highway Hounds out of the shelter, or an expert and believer in raw feeding, or a one woman miniature holistic vet clinic if your dog found itself in trouble or in pain in the middle of the night. However you knew Connie, if you knew Connie, you were one of the lucky ones. Connie Kruzan passed away this morning from metastatic breast cancer. The suddenness has left a huge hole in the heart of the entire sighthound community and especially her beloved greyhounds Barney and Gildy. Connie showed unwaivering dedication to the Greyhounds and was an invaluable volunteer for Greysave for many years. We love you Connie and we will carry on your mission. When I get more information about a Memorial or anything else I will certainly let you Know. With great sadness, Cathy
  2. I am so very sorry. Sudden loss is excruciating. I've been in your place and it stinks. Hold on to the image in the photo you posted. Moonshine was a happy girl who knew she was loved and loved you right back.
