  1. Internal parasites can make a hound very uncomfortable as can the antiparasitic. Best just leave the poor guy alone while he's going through the process. Wait until he comes to you for affection. If he had intended to bite you he would have. It was just a warning to back off.
  2. The 'scientific' name for that particular Greyhound trait is Derp face.

    Iker

Rest well, sweet Iker. Robin, I am so very sorry for your loss.
  4. Lola takes Apoquel daily. Chewy is the least expensive I've found.
  5. Thanks, ramonaghan. I forgot about Fromm's. It has always been a fine product.
  6. I've been following this issue with great interest. It seems that most high-end kibble is grain-free and has peas, chickpeas, lentils etc. I'm very concerned, not to mention confused as far as what kibble to feed Lola.
  7. She needs to be potty trained at your Moms house. She doesnt know where to go when shes there. Dogs will always seek an absorbent surface on which to urinate.
  8. A beautiful tribute to a beautiful life. I'm so sorry your good boy had to go. Peace to your broken heart.
  9. The extra effort is well worth it if she’ll chew the antler even if it’s for a few days. Healthy chews are so important for her dental health.
  10. I'm always in the market for safe dental chews for Lola. Do your Greys enjoy antlers? It seems to me that they might be: I) Too hard. II) Boring. Do antlers have a scent or taste? What say you GT'ers?
  11. Check out Elle J. Wilson's artwork on Etsy - AlmostAnAngel66.
  12. I love Sally Muir’s artwork. I call that particular one “Lola’s Mugshot” as it looks just like my girl.
  13. Too much levity. Those girls are totally out of control.
  14. I bathe Lola about every 2 months, weather permitting, or if she really needs it after rolling in something icky.
  15. It would appear that the Prison Program protocol has worked! Lola has had 2, consecutive negative fecals. The vet asked me to bring her "a huge chunk of poop" for this last test to make sure that it was not a false negative. I brought her two vials of poop from two different 'deposits'. We return next month for vaccinations. I'll be bringing another couple of vials -full for testing. Only took 18 months to eradicate the devil worms! Sheesh!
  16. Has your dog been licking his anus excessively? My Lola has a red, angry looking area similar to your dog's and it really bothers her. We've got an appointment next week. I hope it turns out to be nothing serious for your boy.
  17. That;s exactly was Lola does. Lola does this, too, randomly, even down to the teeny whine after the yawn.
  18. Lola, also 3.5 years old, does the licking thing - tops of thighs, fore legs, belly, derriere. Turns out she has atopic dermatitis and has to take Apoquel daily. She also bows and shakes (like they do after a bath) and yawns quite often. She does not seem to be stressed or in pain.
  19. That gurgling is gastritis from the hooks. Give one Beano or Gas X; might help. Do consult the vet, though.
  20. Well, of course you wear your fuzzy slippers when it's cold outside! Adorable!
