  1. Love the name! Congrats and good luck!
  2. A homemade bite not collar will keep her from her incision. Bath towel folded lengthwise, wrap around neck, secure with vet wrap. Check YouTube for instructions.
  3. Lots of info on the Greyhounds with SLO group on Facebook! My Mickey lost all but two nails in a couple months. They grew back all crazy looking, and those also fell out. He would later go for five or six months without losing any, and would only lose one or two at a time. It's not life threatening, and can be managed. I seldom took him to the vet for a lost nail once I learned to control the bleeding. I would only wrap for a short time. They seemed to heal better when left alone. I did have to stop his therapy dog visits because I didn't want him to bleed all over the floor in the school or nursing home. Sometimes there can be a lot of blood! I followed the grassmere protocol noted earlier. Good luck!
  4. Lots of info on the Greyhounds with corns Facebook page.
  5. A couple of picky eaters here have loved vanilla ensure. One even ate it on her kibble, like a bowl of cereal. Offer just a little at first, then more if it is accepted. Have you tried a peanut butter sandwich?
  6. I have used the preventic collars for years. They work great, but can't be used if you have cats!
  7. Welcome home! I had two of Shelley's brood moms! Great dogs!
  8. Awww how sad. I remember her!
  9. It sounds like he would work in your home, and already has a connection with your son. Why do you want to rehome him?
  10. My eleven year old had a serious episode and was fine in a few days. The only evidence was a slight head tilt that she had for months. She lived until almost thirteen, and never had another episode. Hope you have a similar resolution.
