Trudy
Update: Family member was able to pick her up to keep her. Our local shelter has a female at the shelter. I'll have more details tomorrow on her as they are waiting for the deputy to get the owner to sign her over to the shelter. The owner may have family that will try to get her - they are still working things out, so she may not become available, but just in case.... Initial impressions is she does not like men, but it seems he did or tried to pick her up. She's been fine with the female kennel techs and one of them told me she was giving her kisses this morning. I have no idea how old or any details yet other than "she tried to eat Martin" Here's her pic from this morning. I asked them to send me more tomorrow when they get a chance and any details they have. So hopefully I"ll have more details. I am willing to head over to the shelter to meet her in person if anybody is interested in her or knows a group that might be willing to take her in. Last greyhound they had was several years ago when I was working there and I wasn't so willing to just adopt her to anybody, so she went to a person that worked with a rescue. Too many people down here suck in the dog ownership dept, so I'd like to see her go to somebody that will treat her as she should be. If anybody is interested - let me know. We are between Pensacola, FL and Mobile, AL. Do not contact the shelter directly - they will not give out info on dogs that are not available for adoption and she currently is not even a shelter dog yet.
