Guest june Posted October 17, 2013 Share Posted October 17, 2013 (edited) Angel has been battling a heart condition for almost 2 years. She was the dog I didn't know I was getting. I called the adoption agency about another dog, but someone had just adopted her. I was told they had the perfect girl for me and they were right. When she joined our house she claimed the bed as hers allowing me to sleep with her. She was a happy girl and loved everybody; her tail wagged all the time. She was a fighter wanting to go on walks even when she didn't feel good; she hated being left out of anything! She loved car rides most of all even wanting to get in strangers cars when we would go for a walk. She was beautiful inside and out. Yesterday was not a good day; she was lethargic and whining off and on through the day. Last night was worse. I knew what was coming, but I was hoping for more time. We took our final trip to the vet's office where she laid down staring into space and not lifting her head, not wagging her tail. My vet is wonderful and did a complete exam but there was nothing more to do. Angel let me know it was time. Holding her in my lap my Angel went to the bridge joining Jazzy, Reunite and Teak.
