Walliered
Thanks, me too. I am scheduled to have Da Vid at water therapy in Hilton Head the same time I am scheduled to have Lady in Charleston. I am not whining, but I will be so glad when everything is resolved and I can get my life back.

Walliered
She is in surgery right now. It is a bulging disk in her neck. He said he surgery may make her worse. He may have to break her breast bone to get to this disk. Her quality of life zero so I told him to go ahead with the surgery. If her pain is worse, I will put her down. queenwinniesmom
Oh, Nan, I'm so sorry. I've been thinking about you and Lady and DaVid, and hoping no news was good news. I knew she had the problem with her neck, but didn't know it was this bad. I will be keeping you both in my prayers. Please let us know how she's doing if you get a chance. Walliered
Lady is doing Ok after surgery. The surgeon made a cut in the front of her neck and was able to remove the disk in the back of her neck. He thinks he got it all and she should be pain free. I will get to see her tomorrow. I hope this is the end of it. I will go back to Savannah tomorrow and get Da Vid from my wonderful vet (she is keeping him while I am in Charleston). The head tech took him to Hilton Head today for his therapy. She is wonderful. If I know three years ago what I know now, I would have never adopted greyhounds. All three of mine have had major health issues. Thanks for all the caring e-mails. Nan
Guest grey_dreams
I hope Lady recovers quickly and will be well. I hope DaVid is helped by his therapy. I'm sorry you are going through these health issues with your dogs. I'm sorry that you would go back and choose a different path with the experience of hindsight. carronstar
I am so happy that Lady made it through the surgery well. Please, don't let hindsight shake your faith in your choice of greyhounds. The majority of the time, they really are just happy, healthy dogs. I've gone through a rough 2-3 years myself but I wouldn't trade my girl for anything.
