Guest Spencers_Greyt Posted December 21, 2012 Share Posted December 21, 2012 It is with an incredibly broken heart that I had to help Emmy to the Rainbow Bridge. This was totally unexpected and shocking for me. She was riddled with lung cancer. She started coughing and then wouldn't eat her breakfast so I knew I needed to take her to the vet. I was thinking it might be Kennel Cough or perhaps Valley Fever. I did not expect cancer in my wildest nightmares. Emmy has never been sick a day in her life and this just happened seemingly overnight although she must have had the cancer a while, yet she never showed any symptoms until the night she started coughing. I adopted Emmy when she was around 9 months old from a local Airedale Terrier rescue group. She has been with me for almost 13 years and been through many ups and downs with me. I could always depend on her for unconditional love. Emmy was the best, most sweetest dog, I have ever owned. I was sure I would have a few more years with her. Emmy was a great teacher for Spencer and Buzz. Both Greys fell in love with her, everyone did who met Emmy, and she was always patient with their quirks. So now, Emmy is with her brothers Spencer and Buzz and hopefully they're tearing it up having a great time. It's been a rough few months with losing Buzz in the beginning of November, then having major neck surgery and now losing Emmy. Thankfully I adopted Dante when I did as he's helping with my sorrow. There will never be another Emmy! Rest in peace my sweet baby Emmy Roo-Roo girl.
