I'm not sure how old Georgia is, but she must have been around 11. Today, May 7, 2012, Aubrey left us. Kathy had just buried her daddy (cancer), and now she has lost her rescue baby. Aubrey and my Ester share the same birthday, and always had a joint birthday party. It will be weird when June 7 rolls around and Ester's birthday buddy is not with us to celebrate #11. Don and Amy still have their first greyhound, Dude, and Kathy still has her first greyhound, Fit. Georgia, I will always remember how soft your were, and oh, the dust bunnies you could create! Aubrey, you were so needy, when you stayed with me during your mama's out of town trips, you would constantly be up in my arm pit as I tried to get some work done on the computer. Kathy, Fit, Ester and I went over to Don and Amy and Dude's house this evening to drink a beer, and the doggies had a cake doughnut in remembrance of Aubrey and Georgia. I'm posting a link to our local website below. At the top of the page you'll see a picture of my Mandy, Aubrey and Dude, laid up on the sofa at Dude's house. On this page you'll see a youtube video titled "Jail Break", featuring Georgia and Dude, and Ester and Mandy. Ester is digging the hole in the opening scene, and Georgia is barking directions at her. Dude is the darker, red fawn with green collar and Mandy is the lighter fawn with purple collar. Amy and I were sitting on her back deck, enjoying a beer, when these crazy houndies started digging a hole right by the fence! Like they're gonna escape! Don grabbed the camera and started filming.
