Guest Heehoo Posted June 8, 2011 Share Posted June 8, 2011 (edited) Gabby crossed the bridge on Monday afternoon with me holding on to her paw. I knew it was time, she knew it was time. I'm almost positive that her long time boyfriend Chinghis was there to greet her. She's buried next to the Gogh baby at Paseur Plantations over looking the pond with the others. Gavin cleared out the area around her & Gogh's graves & I've got a greyhound windchime I'm going to take down there this weekend...it has a brindle doggie on it. She was 14 on her birthday last month. I know it was probably selfish, but I really wanted her to enjoy her 14th birthday. She would do good one day, then that night be frail. Then go running out the back door after Pipi-Francine or any of the foster pups staying here. Smiley has looked for her every night during feeding time, she always gave him her left overs & every night this week he has gone in the bedroom & looked in her crate at her bowl which lies empty. Beryl & Softee sent her a necklace several years ago, I buried her in that. Her collars she had on I'm keeping for a keepsake in memory of her. She's been a constant in my life for 9 years. I do miss her terribly. I always thought this was a sweet picture & showed me how much they cared about each other.
