Guest caelanarcher Posted January 29, 2011 Share Posted January 29, 2011 We'd been fighting the lymphoma with prednisone for a few weeks, but the lymph nodes stopped responding to the steroids. It was starting to affect his breathing, so I had set up an appointment for tomorrow morning. When I got home from work, my beautiful boy let me know that it was time. The vet stayed open past their regular hours for us. We only had him for 16 months, and it was far too short. He was far too young. He was my first hound; my first dog; my heart-dog.
