I have no first hand experience with dementia, but have several close friends who lost their mothers to it. It's like losing them twice and so heartbreaking to see it happening. God bless! I know how you feel when you say that you are grateful that her struggle is over. With Alzheimer's disease we loose them one moment at a time. It's a very cruel disease. My dad had this dreadful disease and I know how horrible it is to lose someone you love bit by bit. It was nice to hear that you were able to be with her at the end of her life. May she rest in peace and be surrounded by angels. I also want to extend my condolences to the Mitz family.
