December 1 is six months since Loca passed away. If only I could stop beating myself up for my decisions. If only she wasn't in so much pain at the end. I just want her back.

Oh Robin, its so hard when we have to say goodbye to these precious pups and then try to get use to the changes in our life without them. Never second guess the decisions that you made. We are not perfect beings but we all try very hard to do what we feel is right. You made your decisions with love and that is never wrong. No forgiveness is ever needed when you have acted from your heart. Loca rests inside that loving heart of yours and keeps you company every day with her memories.

It's never wrong to try to help a dog in pain. Sometimes you get lucky and you can help. Too often, you can't. You knew when enough was enough, and that is all a dog could ask of her best person.

You gave it your all and that's all that can ever be expected. Loca, without a doubt, knew you adored her. Don't look back, look forward and remember the wonderful, crazy, times you had together. That's what she wants. Loca's there in your heart, she's never far. I still think about Scooter and how he could have gone on but I didn't want him to suffer from the enivetable pain of osteo. I think our heart dogs go on for us. Personally, I think that's what is hard. Truly, there is nothing to forgive or beat yourself up over....you did for Loca out of love. How could that ever be wrong?

It's been 3.5 yrs since Dolly died and not a day goes by that I don't think...if I hadn't have given her that damn pill, she would still be here with me.
