Oh, Tracey! I was so fervently hoping that it would be some little thing that got to Cosmo. You and Cosmo are in our thoughts and hearts every single day. Wish there was something, anything, we could do to make things easier for you.

Ah, Tracey! I'm sorry to hear about Cosmo's latest developments.

I hope you can all enjoy the time you have together, with plenty of time to build more memories to last forever, since sadly, our sweet pets do not.

When Demon's leg was full of fluid (pooling blood in his case) the Vet had us doing massage. Basically, push the fluid towards the body. The foot/leg got noticeably smaller when we did it. We did it several times a day. If he stood for a period of time it would swell again, but I think he was more comfortable for a while after each massage.

When Cricket had her edema my vet recommend the same thing as well as a warm compress...we also gave her some prednisone which did seem to help a bit.

Continued prayers for your baby girl.....

We're going to see the vet at 5:15. She's going to do an ultrasound to check for fluid around Cosmo's heart and she's going to get a leg xray to (HOPEFULLY!!!!!!) rule out the pulmonary osteopathy.

Thanks for the suggestions of massaging her feet. We've tried it and it does seem to help!

I'll check back in after her appointment.
