AngelWhispers
Brooke is home!!!! It feels so good to say that!! She was dancing in her kennel when I got there, what a beautiful sight. She showered me with kisses then walked right past me and headed for the door. She was going to try to jump in the van and the vet tech had to hold her back while I got the ramp out for her. She wasn't letting me leave without her today! Her leg looks so much better today and there's no blood pooling up in the lower leg. She's so thin! We weighed her before we left and she's lost 10 lbs. I try to keep her weight right around 73-74(her racing weight was 69) She weighed 64 lbs today. At least she's home and I can get some groceries in her now. We're still not out of the woods and the vet warned me again for the umpteenth time that it'll be about 3 weeks before we'll know if she's going to lose her leg. I am just soooo happy to have my Boogers home. I don't have words for what I feel right now! Thank you everyone for your support and prayers, they are helping me and Brooke more than you'll ever know. Ok, gotta go snuggle now.
