  12. I'm so sorry he's gone. It's wonderful that he found his way to you, and was able to stay for so long. He wasn't a spook in your house because he knew he was home. Godspeed Uber.
  13. Poor guy. I'm sure he'll feel much better once the foot and his mouth heal.
  14. I'm so very sorry. I know how incredibly hard it is not to be able to help a dog. You made the right choice. Godspeed Fenway.
  15. I've had 5 with kidney failure. Four I was able to nurse along with sub-q fluids, nutraceuticals, and whatever-they-would-eat (appetite is a huge problem for kidney dogs) for varying periods of time. One was already in big trouble when diagnosed, and she was almost 14 and had other weaknesses; I let her go. I hope that you can get Fenway feeling better and stabilized.
  16. This is more of an aside than a suggestion: Rain. Pink was a PITA about getting into the car. Eventually we compromised on her putting her front feet up so that I only had to boost the back end. Then one day when we were leaving school, it was raining hard. I opened the door and she hopped in. She was able to hop in on her own after that, even at a wobbly 13+ years.
  17. I'm so very sorry. My condolences to his family. He was far far too young. Godspeed James Bond.

  19. I'm so very sorry. He was a handsome happy boy. Godspeed Shadow.
  20. I'm so incredibly sorry. It is extraordinarily devastating to lose two special dogs so close together. I wish she could have stayed longer. Godspeed Sophie.
  21. I'm so very sorry. What a horrible way to lose a special soul, especially when she should have had much more time. Godspeed Raven.
