  1. Good news! Here's hoping that sweet girlie continues to improve!
  2. This is wonderful to know - this story gives hope to others who may have a similar experience.
  3. Since you are looking for Dr. Stack I imagine you've already seen these, but for anyone else who hasn't, here is a link to Dr. Stack's articles online. There is one specifically on LS: http://greythealth.com/lumbosacral.htm And this one summarizes what drugs are OK to use in combination (and which are not - see table at bottom of article): http://greythealth.com/pain.htm
  4. See a good holistic vet. I have Rickie off NSAIDs completely now, using a combination of Wobenzym and Zeel. His arthritis is from age and changes in gate due to surgeries, so your experience may be different, but this may be worth looking into.
  5. What a sweetheart. I am so sorry for your loss.
  6. I am so sorry the news isn't better, hopefully OSU will provide some good options for you. Please give your girl gentle hugs from us.
  7. Good she's done and feeling well enough to help with the drive home.
  8. Sending prayers and positive thoughts for Flippy, and all who are caring for her.
  9. Poor little pumpkin. Hope the antibiotics (and anything else?) clear her feet up quickly.
  10. Awww Miss Gracie. Sending good thoughts and prayers for the dental to go well pretty girl.
  11. Unfortunately, lots. We have a daily treatment regimen here which consists of: - clean the area with witch hazel on a cotton swab (real cotton - I buy those big rolls at the drugstore) - dry off well with a tissue - apply Unda 270 cream (available at many health food stores) If it's really bad, instead of the Unda I apply Fusiderm (prescription from your vet) which is a combination of antibiotic and steroid - it really works but I stop as soon as I can because of the skin-thinning actions of the steroid. There are several threads about this sort of thing in Health and Medical (some may have been pruned) if you do a search for "vulva". Good luck with your girl.
  12. Very good news! Arlie is just getting over her first, and hopefully last, UTI.
  13. I am so very sorry - what a beautiful girl.
  14. I hope they figure this out soon - very odd that both dogs are showing these symptoms, and such painful ones too.

    Maxx

    I am so sorry.
  16. Poor Mizzy. Will be interested to know what OSU suggests. Glad it's not auto-immune.
  17. Poor pup - sending prayers the antibiotics clear up his troubles quickly.
  18. Good boy Beau! Robin, this is such good news - I couldn't help but notice how thin he looked in the "all the hounds" picture you posted recently.
  19. Good for you for finding it and following up quickly. There is lots of reason to be hopeful here, hold onto that. And pease keep us posted.

    Karson

How heartbreaking. My sympathy to Karson's family, who must be devastated.
  21. Mizzy honey, we want you to come down to the beach for walks with Arlie in a couple of weeks - heal up and feel better fast, OK?
  22. Those pictures radiate personality. I am so sorry for your loss of a very special girl.
