    Thanks Claudia. I brush Arlie's teeth daily and use Dentatreat on her dinner, but she has some root exposure (being monitored by a board certified dental surgeon) and sometimes some redness here and there, so anything I can do to delay the inevitable is great.

    I like this Biotene idea. What is the routine, for example, do you brush at one end of the day, and do this at the other? Do this after brushing, instead of brushing......?

    Sending more prayers. You might try calling the clinic where the neurologist practices to see if you can get a cancellation appointment or otherwise get Canyon in sooner.

    Sending prayers for Canyon. Good the Metacam is calming some pain while you wait for the consult. You may want to call the neurologist's office ahead of time to ask if they want Canyon off the Metacam a day or two before they see him on Thursday. We will have all paws crossed here.

    Poor Loca. Maybe do a setup - something safe, but forbidden, left accessible - perhaps the temptation will lift her spirits. And give her kisses and scritches from us too.

    If it's looking moist, I'd use witch hazel to clean it. And then maybe spritz around it with bitter apple to prevent licking.

    I am so sorry, but you are right - she was no doubt loved and spoiled by those looking after her. My condolences to all who cared for and about her.
