  1. I keep one in my wallet at all times and also give one to any new vet we see.
  2. That's brilliant, Chris. I'm sure not many people would have thought of that.
  3. I can offer up that xylitol is lethal to dogs. Supposedly, sorbitol is o.k. but feel free to check more academic resources besides this one
  4. I came here to say the same thing but knew someone would beat me to it.
  5. I love homemade tapioca pudding. I would think the natural lumpiness would help hide the lump of a pill. Good thinking.
  6. I wondered about exactly that option. My next door neighbor is an RN, if a civilian is not to be trusted with the drugs.
  7. Exactly. Only us "greyhound nerds" know about greyhound-data or even that the tattoo would help with a lost hound. Who knows whether Animal Control officers would know what to do not to mention the time lost.
  8. Ducky, you do so many good things for the greyhound community. Thank you. (And maybe you were thinking of me [if we ever find a big, bombproof boy who wants his own couch].)
  9. Chris, Thank you for the academic articles. I shall read the biophosphate one carefully. "Plan for a catastrophic break at home" - What would anyone suggest? That is my biggest nightmare and I will do a lot to minimize that scenario (yes, a day early).
  10. We got the bad news yesterday. Amputation is not an option. Mercury is 11 with spinal arthritis and a fair amount in his front right wrist (Osteo is in front left leg). So, my goal is to keep him as comfortable and with me as long as possible. Yes, we have an oncologist consult next week, but I'm doing my homework now. I'm pretty sure I want the biophosphate treatment to retard progress but what about chemo or radiation? What have been your experiences with non-surgical Osteo treatments. Thanks for your input and I'm sorry for your loss.
  11. I yam too busy being on de ovver side ob de houe wiff Mummy and Daddy. Who cares wut happins in de libbimg room? As long as he didn't steal de Christmas roast, wut diffrence duz it make? Merc
  12. One of the things I disliked about moving to Florida and a "neighborhood" is having to use single-use plastics to pick up a biodegradable product. I reuse grocery bags but as I tend to use totebags, there aren't many of those.
